The Pearl City High School Chargers turned it up a notch on Saturday, January 22, capturing Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division Wrestling Championships in the Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls and the Junior Varsity Girls competition at Radford High School's Jim Alegre Gymnasium.
The Charger Varsity Boys made it eight consecutive OIA Western Division titles in a row behind two-time state champion Raynald Cooper III who captured the 171 Lbs. title outscoring Radford's Kevin Corbett 16-6.
The Charger Varsity Boys won six individual titles on Saturday:

The Chargers outscored Campbell 231-198 for the team championship.
The Pearl City Charger Varsity Girls outscored Aiea 162-122 to take the team championship with four individual championship winners:

Charmagne Monis (140 Lbs)
Sanoe Spencer (220 Lbs.)
The Chargers Junior Varsity Girls captured the Junior Varsity team championship with an impressive six individual titles won and outscoring Campbell 156-55.

Pearl City has two weeks to prepare for the the OIA Championships with the Junior Varsity Championships scheduled for January 28-29 at Farrington High School and the Varsity Championships to be held on February 4-5 at Leilehua High School.
